What we do

Improving the business competitiveness

European Union is dedicated to supporting economic development of Serbia through cultivation of a strong private sector led by entrepreneurs.

In line with the Programme document, EU PRO provides direct assistance to entrepreneurs, enterprises and business support organisations to contribute to the enhancement of sustainability and competitiveness of enterprises which will enable job creation.

The first Public Call for Proposals for Procurement of Equipment and Provision of Services for Entrepreneurs, Micro and Small Enterprises was implemented in 2018 and, as a result, the European Union (EU) allocated 2.1 million Euros to 106 SMEs in early 2019.

As a result of the Public Call for Proposals for Business Support Organisations closed in July 2019,  close to 630,000 Euros were allocated to 20 business support organisations (BSO) which aim to contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium sized enterprises.

The second Public Call for Proposals for Procurement of Equipment and Provision of Services for Entrepreneurs, Micro and Small Enterprises was implemented in 2019 and, as a result of the activity in June 2020, the European Union (EU) allocated 2.5 million Euros to 112 SMEs.
