The entrepreneur is engaged in the production of bee hives and honey collection boxes, based on extensive woodworking experience and will procure wood processing machinery through the grant, which will expedite the production process and result in better quality of the products. This will lead to the immediate creation of one new jobs and another one subsequently. The entrepreneur will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities that will include the regular maintenance of the local school and kindergarten and the donation of equipment for the local kindergarten.

The entrepreneur is engaged in collecting, sorting and recycling secondary raw materials such as iron, aluminium, copper, paper, foil and other waste materials. A machine for recycling electric cables which would increase business capacities as well as significantly reduce negative impacts towards the environment will be purchased through the grant. This will also lead to the creation of three new jobs. The entrepreneur will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities that include cleaning illegal dumps.

The enterprise is engaged in the research and production of specialised cleaning agents with a focus on cleaning agents for the dairy industry. It will use the grant to procure equipment, sensory systems for the maintenance of physicochemical parameters and semi-automatic pumps for safe streaming in order to improve the production process and to expand the product range. This will lead to the creation of one new jobs and five more subsequently. The enterprise will implement corporate social responsibility activities that will include the donation of its products to the local Red Cross and institutions that care for children.

The project proposes forming Innovative start-up accelerator programme to create favourable conditions for innovation. It aims to accelerate the development of cohesive and productive marketing innovation for young businesses/start-ups in the first year of operation and entrepreneurs/SMEs active for up to three years in Jablanica and Pčinja districts. The project will operate at two locations in Leskovac and Vladičin Han with well-structured basic and advanced training plans, education of RDA’s employees and visit to start-up conference.

The enterprise for production of metal products (construction of metal sheets – gutters) will procure new machines for gutter pipes production and equipment for gutter profiles processing and production. The production currently employs 33 workers while immediate job creation is significant with three new jobs and additional five within a three-year period. The proposed CSR activity envisages reconstruction of the roof on the school for children with disabilities and in cooperation with the City Administration the reconstruction of houses for socially vulnerable families. The CSR support would continue for three years (during 2020–2022) that would include 15% of incomes realised through the EU PRO donated machines.

The proposed CSR activity envisages donation of meals to the associations supporting vulnerable groups and donation to the local primary school, for organisation of children manifestations as well as organisation of professional training.

Improving the conditions for tourist development and protection of cultural heritage by developing the Detailed Regulation Plan for Skobaljić Grad

The Detailed Regulation Plan will provide conditions for the construction of pedestrian paths and viewpoints in Skobaljić Grad, increase the use of the area's natural potentials for recreation and tourism development and enable new entrepreneurial activities that rely on this new tourist product. It is envisaged to expand the capacity of local tourist facilities from the existing 130 to 325 beds in the next five years.

Provision of a back-up server for the e-permitting system

E-permitting

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

Valorisation and Increase of Recognition of the Tourist Potential of the City of Leskovac and the Municipality of Bojnik through Regional GIS Portal

Introduction and Development of GIS

The existing GIS in Leskovac was last updated in 2016 by entering data on brownfield and greenfield industrial sites. The new GIS application will enable detailed presentation of the significant cultural and natural heritage of the Leskovac and Bojnik as part of the tourist offer to support the local tourism development. Through the inter-municipal project the existing hardware, communication and software structure in Leskovac will be used jointly.

Improvement of Energy Efficiency in the Primary School “Vasa Pelagić“

Local Infrastructure

The reconstruction of the “Vasa Pelagić” Primary School will significantly improve working and learning conditions for 716 pupils and over 70 school employees. The works in the school, originally built in 1918, will include renovation of the façade, roof and toilets, while the works will improve its energy efficiency and enable reduction of maintenance costs to the city budget while decreasing the level of pollution of the central city area.
