The enterprise produces traditional sausage from the city of Pirot – „peglana kobasica“ - in line with all sanitary, veterinary and legal norms and according to the HACCP standard. The grant will be utilised to procure new machines for meat processing and casing, in order to improve the quality of products, increase production and create new employments. Immediately, two new jobs will be created and another two subsequently. The enterprise will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities which will include the donation of products or cash to local humanitarian or medical-educational institutions in order to help vulnerable children.

The entrepreneur is engaged in tailoring and sewing clothes with a special focus on protective clothing. They have established a steady increase in the volume of production, which requires additional capacities. That is why the grant will be used to procure a new generation of sewing machines, which will improve production capacity and quality of final products. This will lead to an immediate creation of two new jobs and another two in the long term. The entrepreneur will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities in cooperation with the local self-government and will include support to the associations of persons with disabilities and trainings for the unemployed, which could later be easily involved in the production processes if there was a need for new workforce.

The entrepreneur is engaged in custom furniture production and chipboard cutting, with the key product being custom kitchens. An increasing share is in production of the sliding closets and office tables. The grant will be utilised to procure a woodworking machine in order to improve the quality of products and increase productivity, with the aim of exporting to foreign markets and expanding operations at regional level. This will also immediately create one new job and another subsequently. The entrepreneur will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities which will include the donation of furniture to the kindergarten in Pirot and cabinets for the dressing rooms in the local football club.

The wood (carpentry) processing entrepreneur will procure a combined machine for joinery processing and a sliding panel saw in order to increase productivity and efficiency and decrease production costs. The production currently employs one worker while resulting job creation is one immediate post and additional two within a three-year period. The proposed CSR activity envisages improvement of the existing playground for local children and purchase of new playground equipment made of eco-material.

Development of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Logistic centre in Pirot

DRP

The formulation of the Detailed Regulation Plan will provide a planning basis for building a logistic centre with an intermodal terminal in the Free Zone Pirot, which enables integration of road and rail transport and the quick transfer of goods. It will also enable linking with other intermodal nodes in Southeast Europe and improve the existing transport lines of the industrial zone in Pirot and ports such as Burgas, Thessaloniki, Smederevo and Kostanca. The project should also have a positive impact on the environment by enabling the usage of more environmental friendly transport modes and the reduction of pollution and CO2 emissions.

Provision of a back-up server for the e-permitting system

E-permitting

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.
