The entrepreneur is engaged in purchasing and storing grain, production of flour for human consumption, as well as forage flour. The grant will be utilised to procure equipment for grain analysis and inspection in order to achieve greater food safety and increase product quality. This investment will lead to the immediate creation of one new job and another two in the long term. The entrepreneur will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities which will include the provision of scholarships for high school and university students.

The enterprise is engaged in metal processing primarily as a service, but also introduces its own line of products. The production is fairly sophisticated and the produced parts are used for high-end furniture, among other. The grant will be utilised to procure machinery for metal bending which will enable higher productivity and introduce new services and products. One new job will be created immediately and another three subsequently. The enterprise will be conducting corporate social responsibility activities which include vocational trainings for unemployed registered with the National Employment Service as well as the reconstruction of the local kindergarten’s playground.

The textile (children clothing) production enterprise will procure sewing machines in order to increase production capacities and to expand products range. The production currently employs seven workers while resulting job creation is three immediate posts and additional one within a three-year period. Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

Šabac City GIS was established in 2006, and while operative, the equipment is severely outdated. Šabac comprises of 76% agricultural land while the processing industry is encouraged. GIS project will establish web application to provide comprehensive, interactive “Poljoportal” relevant information to all of the sector stakeholders (registered agricultural households, associations and cooperatives, business entities). Department for Agriculture manages all of the local agricultural data and programmes.
