Reconstruction of the Sports Hall in Kolovrat

The reconstruction of the sports hall at the "Milosav Stiković" Primary School in Kolovrat is among the 37 supported projects of local self-governments in Šumadija, Western, Southern and Eastern Serbia, which the European Union is financing through the EU PRO development programme with 4.5 million Euros.

A total of 46 project proposals were submitted for the public call, which was open from 26 April to 29 June 2018 and one of the necessary conditions for applying was the existence of a building permit and a financial participation of at least 15 percent of the project’s value. The municipality of Prijepolje applied with the project of reconstruction and equipping of the sports hall at the "Milosav Stiković" Primary School in Kolovrat, which was among the 37 approved projects. EU PRO supported this project with 56,772 Euros, while the municipality of Prijepolje will participate with 11,628 Euros.

According to the project description, the reconstruction and equipping of the sports hall at the "Milosav Stiković" Primary School will provide appropriate conditions for sports activities, both for 629 pupils and for the broader community, children of preschool age, athletes and persons with disabilities. The municipal administration told us that the contract was expected to be signed in the coming days, and it is foreseen that the implementation of the project will last for 18 months.

The projects supported by the European Union also include the reconstruction of the sports hall at the "Branko Radičević" Primary School, which the EU PRO finances with 77,404 Euros, while the Priboj municipality participates in the project implementation with 15,813 Euros.
