"With the support of the European Union and the Government of Serbia, we have been actively working on improving our overall economic and investment potential and revitalisation of the Priboj economy with the aim of increasing employment and living standards of the population," said Lazar Rvović, the Mayor of Priboj Municipality that participated in the project with over 68,000 Euros.
The Mayor pointed out that the companies currently operating in the zone employ 500 workers, while growing number of investors expressed the interest in leasing land in the Industrial Zone in Priboj. Rvović also reminded that the EU already supported the reconstruction of the administration building at the Industrial Parks in Priboj.
As industrial zones are an important instrument of business infrastructure and a chance for attracting foreign investment, as well as for the development and establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises, the EU, through the EU PRO programme, supports the development of business infrastructure in Priboj and seven other industrial zones located in Bojnik, Kragujevac, Paraćin, Smederevo, Svilajnac, Šabac and Užice.
